Jurassic Express have had issues dealing with reDRagon for weeks now, and despite defeating them alongside The Young Bucks at Revolution, the point somehow wasn’t proven. Tonight, in a down to basics tag team match, these two teams will clash. Whoever wins will get to call themselves the AEW World Tag Team Champions, and possibly call themselves the greatest tag team in the world today. Jurassic Express are looking for their sixth title defence tonight, having topped Lucha Bros, SCU & FTR in successful defences.
Jurassic Express Starts Off Fast With reDRagon
Jungle Boy would kick off things with Bobby Fish, nailing some agile dropkicks. Fish would show why he’s the enforcer of this team, simply kicking JB down with some hard kicks and tagging in Kyle O’Reilly. KOR would keep the pressure on, but JB got the blind tag to Luchasaurus.
reDRagon would have to work together to cut Luchasaurus down to size, before KOR looked for a kneebar. Luchasarus would kick his way free, and caught KOR with a knee strike to the jaw. JB got the tag and took the fight to both members of reDRagon, dropping KOR with the Comebacker lariat, before sending Fish to the outside. JB looked for a trio of dives, before reDRagon slipped to the side.
Fish would end up taking the third dive after Luchasaurus attacked him on the outside. Back into the ring, KOR would regain control of the match, and would force JB into the reDRagon corner. Quick tags would allow both men to beat down on JB, and the moment he had an opening – KOR showed some MMA skills with a swift takedown and some measured strikes.
A snapmare would lead into an armlock, before KOR looked for a cross armbreaker. JB would slip free, and go Ricky to Robert to get Luchasaurus into the match again. He’d corner both men and hit some running back sentons, before nailing a German Suplex on KOR, the Tail Whip on Fish, before a double chokeslam to both men. Standing moonsault landed, but only got a two count.
FTR Want The Next Shot
A sidewalk slam – elbow drop combo from Jurassic Express would follow, but Fish would manage to hang on. JB looked for a big elbow strike before Fish got the tag to KOR. KOR got the butterfly suplex, before hitting a tag team DDT with Fish before a German Suplex. Cross armbreaker would be applied, but JB once again fought free.
Luchasaurus would look to set up a doomsday device, before KOR grabbed a chokehold. Fish nailed an Avalanche Falcon Arrow, but Luchasaurus would toss KOR into the pin to save the match. Luchasaurus would trade strikes with KOR, before JB helped out with a superkick.
He’d launch off the back of Luchasaurus to hit a DDT on KOR – before Jurassic Express got the win off a powerbomb! After the bell, KOR attacked the knee to Luchasarus with a steel chair. FTR would come to the ringside area after this, and reDRagon wanted the ROH World Tag Team Championships, but FTR wanted to face Jurassic Express and look for three sets of tag team titles.
