Making callouts and being ‘loud’ per se is not Jose Aldo’s style. He is more of a ‘quiet’ fighter and prefers his deeds to do the talking for him.
One of the best mixed martial artists of all time. The greatest featherweight ever, Jose Aldo. He has a professional record of 31-7-0 which is astonishing by itself. However, coupled with the fact that in the period from 2004 and up until 2014 he had only one loss and an incredible 25 wins. This fact alone should tell you about how serious MMA character we are speaking about.
I Want Aljamain Sterling, Give Me A Title Shot – Jose Aldo Requests
Even though his best form is considered to be at featherweight, he is currently competing in the bantamweight division. Because of this, now the 135-pound challenger is calling out Aljamain Sterling.
“Aljamain, I am waiting for you to sign the contract for our fight. There is no doubt that the fans want to watch this fight. We are currently the 2 best bantamweights in the UFC.” – the challenger wrote on Twitter.
However, the current champion Aljamain Sterling is not short of offers. Challenges are arriving from T.J.Dillashaw, Henry Cejudo, and Petr Yan. The latest is a call for a rematch after the champion Sterling smashed Petr Yan at the UFC 273 event.
Jose Aldo should have the title shot. Out of the three given options, he is the only one who is a legitimate threat to Sterling. The other two options are not so exciting. As Jose said, Henry Cejudo is trying to gain fame and popularity by faking his own retirement and then asking to come back in a great light. Dillashaw on the other side has had a failed drug test lately which led to his title loss.
“Let the rest of the boys fight each other and exchange insults on the internet. In my opinion, it does not make any sense to let a guy who got suspended for 2 years for cheating come back and fight for the belt. Especially not after winning a split decision in a fight I think he lost.” – Jose wrote on Twitter.
“Cejudo is a clown who faked his retirement just to try to raise his purse. As that did not work, now he wants to fight for the title after spending 2 years out of the game. That’s not the way it goes, clown.” – Aldo added.
Sterling openly shares the same opinion as his challenger Jose Aldo. He also expressed his willingness to fight him. Finally, we hope that all cards will be played correctly. We are eager to watch this fight soon.
Aljamain Sterling is 21-3-0 and is in his absolute prime as a fighter. He hasn’t lost a fight since 2018 and looks like his reign will last for a long time. Is Jose Aldo able to put a stop to Sterling’s winning streak? We cannot wait to see.
