Big Brother UK alum Ryan Ruckledge is warning others against getting the popular fox eye threads surgery on TikTok.
It’s Viral: Big Brother UK Alum Shares “Fox Eyes Thread” Nightmare Aftermath on TikTok
Ruckledge usually posts comedic skits and daily life stuff on his TikTok but this time he had to stop his viewers for a very important warning:
“If you’re considering getting fox eye threads done, do not get them done. I nearly ended up with sepsis.”
The video had the description “Do NOT get fox eye threads. I could of gone blind! PLEASE SHARE AND WARN OTHERS! I was so lucky it never went to sepsis. #fyp #foxeyethreadlift #fyp #foryou” while the video caption read “DO NOT GET FOX EYE THREADS! If you want more videos and pics comment below”.
The sepsis would’ve been from injections used in the procedure had he not gotten treatment. In another TikTok following the surgery, he found puss oozing from one of the incisions on his face. He said that after taking a shower he noticed “there’s all puss coming out of it—what the f***?”
That’s not all that happened to the former X-Factor contestant:
“It got infected in my eyes, all at the side of my face, my face went swollen, my eyes went puffy, I had black eyes, I ended up on a drip in the hospital, on antibiotics, steroids, and it was not budging.”
Ruckledge would get the surgery a few years after getting some successful dental work done in Turkey.
Viewers would take to the warnings and offer the reality TV star well wishes for his recovery. It would take Ruckledge six months to successfully get rid of the infection. Part one of his videos detailing the fox eye thread procedure sits at over 672,000 views while part two sits at close to 19,000 views.
