During an interview with British Vogue, Rihanna expressed her discomfort with the paparazzi taking pictures of her 9-month-old son with A$AP Rocky without their permission, referring to it as “icky”.

As Rihanna was participating in a photoshoot for a fashion magazine last year, she noted that paparazzi were spotted taking photos of her son at a beach in Malibu.
She and her partner Rocky talked about the situation and realized that the paparazzi were making calls and arrangements to sell the initial public view of their child without their authorization.
In her comments, she said: “I just went straight into protective mode. Like there wasn’t even time for rage. [Rocky and me] drove up to the trailer area and we sat in the car chatting and working out how we move forward.
“As parents it just feels so icky, like a violation.” Instead of allowing the paparazzi to get the first glimpse of her son, she disclosed to Vogue that she had sent a few images of her child to a blogger.
Subsequently, she took advantage of TikTok, posting a 45-second video of her son in his car seat, which ended up gathering almost 30 million views. Those comments are significant for the following reasons.
First of all, it may explain why Rihanna decided to keep her second pregnancy under wraps until after she performed at the Super Bowl. After all, she may have received similar invasions of privacy.
Secondly, she has previously stated that she wants more children which is why she is keen on making sure that she protects them as much as she can.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “Listen, I’m down for whatever. My wish would be I would like to have more kids but whatever God wants for me, I’m here. I’m open, girl, boy, whatever.”
