Kanye West is reportedly “going away to get help” following his public and social media antics against Kim Kardashian. He told Kim K of the news and those close to the Kardashians have said that he has agreed to stop harassing her and her boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
Kanye West Tells Kim Kardashian He Will Be “Going Away to Get Help”
His recent antics have seen his scheduled performance at the 2022 Grammys axed and his access to Instagram restricted for 24 hours. Neither of these really hurt his bottom line but the behavior that caused both of these to occur has estranged him from Kim Kardashian and the Kardashian family.
Things had gotten concerning to the point of Ye not only making a diss track–”Eazy”–targeting but also made a music video where a claymation Pete Davidson is kidnapped, buried alive, and beheaded.
This resulted in Kardashian pleading with West to end his social media harassment of Davidson in fear of her boyfriend’s safety. As for his 24-ban ban on Instagram, that came after insulting comedian and The Daily Show host Trevor Noah with a racial slur after being called out on his harassment of Kim K.
According to a family source, Kanye West is making a clean break from interviews and public appearances for the moment and will refrain from making “inflammatory social media statements”. It was also mentioned that he said he would “go away somewhere to get better.”
Note that the source didn’t mention where West was going specifically. It could be a treatment center, somewhere with more conventional treatment methods, or a spiritual treatment place—it’s all unknown at the moment. However, he is based in Los Angeles to be involved in his and Kim Kardashian’s kids.
In speaking with Page Six, a representative for Kanye West said the following:
“At this time, Ye is committed to a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kim and is and focused on raising their beautiful children.”
Ye and Kardashian married in May 2014. By February 2021, she had filed for divorce and began dating Pete Davidson that October. She declared legally single on Wednesday, March 1 of this year.
