Royal expert, Kinsey Schofield has claimed that Harry and Meghan could find a way to regain their royal duties when Prince Charles ascends the throne. Speaking in a newspaper interview, she said, “I think that Prince Charles has a very soft heart and I think he’s desperately in love with Prince Harry — he loves Prince Harry.
He doesn’t like his actions but Prince Harry is his DNA and he does hurt when they’re not talking, he does hurt when things aren’t on the right path and I think he’s anxious to start the healing process. I think that Prince Charles is very forgiving.”
Royal Expert Says Forgiveness Is Possible If Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Want To Return To Their Royal Duties
Ms. Schofield backed up her claims with the story of the royal family welcoming back the Earl and Countess of Wessex, into the fold. The royal expert continued, “I think that Sophie and Edward are a great example of forgiveness within the Royal Family because they attempted what Harry and Meghan are attempting now.
They attempted to half-in half-out – Sophie wanted to continue with her PR firm and Edward wanted to be a producer, he wanted to produce content – and when they kind of got in trouble for mixing that royal element in with their day-to-day monetised businesses, and they were humiliated – the Royal Family allowed them to come back in. Forgiveness is possible — this family’s very forgiving. I don’t think that is out of the question.”
However, Ms. Schofield maintained that Harry and Meghan will not receive an instant forgiveness from the then King Charles as the controversial couple has not only hurt the royal family but the public as well.
It is understood that Prince Charles’ relationship with the Duke of Sussex hit the rocks after Harry resigned from royal duties in 2020. The Sussexes reportedly pushed to cut out the role of part-time royals for themselves, but their plans were rejected by the Queen. Since then, the royal couples have resided in the United States and have not set foot as a family in the UK.
