Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have apparently been given the go-ahead to attend Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
Harry And Meghan Given The Go Ahead To Attend The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee-‘Not Holding My Breath On That One’
This revelation arrives on the back end of the couple making a secret visit to see the Queen and Prince Charles. And given that this was seen as a major attempt to reconcile, it is only right that they should be rewarded for their efforts.
The occasion would be significant for the following reasons. First of all, it would mark the Queen’s 70th year in charge. Therefore, as she is not getting any younger, any quality time is becoming more precious.
Secondly, this may be the chance for Harry and Meghan to patch things up with Prince William, as well as Kate Middleton. After all, both of them were absent during the couple’s visit as they were on a skiing holiday.
Lastly, in any event, the Queen may finally have the chance to see Lilibet in person for the first time. This begs the question: Will they actually turn up? Well, based on Harry’s comments after seeing the Queen recently, now would be a good time.
When asked about the Queen’s reaction to the Invictus Games, this is what he had to say: “She had plenty of messages for Team UK, which I have already passed on to most of them. So, it was great to see her.
“I’m sure she would love to be here if she could.” The fans on social media were not convinced. People still had doubts that the duo could pull out on the basis of their prior track record.
After all, they did miss Prince Philip’s memorial, as well as the Queen’s birthday last year. One person wrote: “I’m not holding my breath on that one!”
It is ultimately a call for Harry and Meghan to make. But now that an olive branch has been offered, it would be a shame to not take it. So there you have it folks. What did you think about all of this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
