Prince Harry was left in an awkward position during an interview with the UK members of the Invictus team.
Prince Harry Humiliates Himself During An Interview With The UK Members Of The Invictus Games-Fans Brand Him ‘Peanut Head’
Prince Harry, for his part, has put his support behind the games which allows members of the military who have been injured to compete against each other.
And this is something that The Duke of Sussex has close to his heart after having served in the British Army during the war in Afghanistan. So much so that Harry decided to skip Prince Philip’s memorial in order to put his support behind the games.
While that may be the case, he did leave himself embarrassed with his line of questioning. In his question to the team, Harry asked: “Is everyone excited or are people nervous?” Following that question, there was a momentary period of silence.
The team was not sure how to respond to this. It is not clear whether the team thought that the question was irrelevant or if they genuinely had nothing to say. But after that silence, they rejoined Harry in making a cheer for the games, which are set to take place next week.
Just when you thought that was bad enough, Harry also failed to recognize his former personal trainer instructor during his time at Sandhurst where members train to join the British Army.
And after having mentioned her name, Harry had to rely on the help of the others to point her out. In response, Harry remarked: “There she is! I can’t believe after 15 years our paths are crossing again.
“You used to shout at me so much!” Naturally, Harry did not come across very well on social media. A significant proportion of people were of the view that he had embarrassed himself with this appearance.
One person wrote: “The silence says it all,” while another person stated: “How is it possible for someone to literally get uglier by the day. Peanut head.”
It is safe to say that this was not Prince Harry’s finest hour. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
