‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ star Shannon Beador opened up about whether or not wedding bells will be in her future during part two of the Season 16 reunion.
Shannon has been extremely open and honest about the highs and lows she experienced during her previous marriage, leaving many to wonder if she would even be open to tying the knot once again.
RHOC: Shannon Bedor Says She’s In No Rush To Marry Boyfriend John Janssen
“We do talk about it but it’s not something that we need to rush to do. We’re happy. I have two kids that are going to be home for another year and a half, so I’m not doing anything right now,” revealed Shannon.
When host Andy Cohen asked Shannon if she could someday see herself getting married again she assuredly responded, “Absolutely, I do.”
Although marriage may not be a top priority for her right now, Shannon, 58, dished on how she is now able to have “the best sex” of her life. “Some of it’s in your head. When you’re happy and you’re with someone, everything is better. It was just kind of a non-existent act in my prior life. So it’s a little bit different now,” she noted.
Shannon has been in a relationship with John Janssen since July 2019 and upon going public with their romance, she said that she was “really happy” and that they “make a great couple”. She was previously married to David Beador from 2000 until 2019 and they share three daughters – Sophie as well as twins Stella and Adeline.
Shannon and David had a very contentious marriage and many of their troubles were chronicled on ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’. The former couple attempted to go to counseling to stay together after David’s torrid affair, but they were unable to make it work. After an ugly divorce David went on to marry Lesly Cook, with whom he shares a daughter named Anna.
When asked about the current status of her relationship with her ex-husband, Shannon replied “”It’s non-existent and nothing has changed.”
Shannon also went on to reveal what she learned from her past relationship, admitting, “There is life beyond and you can succeed on your own and you don’t need anybody. I just thought that I was trapped in this life and that [I have to] accept it, put a smile on your face and this is as good as it’s going to get.”
