We’re starting the road to Summerslam soon, the second biggest WWE event of the year – only topped by WrestleMania. Major matches and angles always heat up around the summer in WWE, and one such angle is the potential return of boxing legend Tyson Fury. With WWE set to run their first stadium event in the region in 30 years – Fury is keen on being part of this, and has now responded to being called out by former two-time WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre.
Tyson Fury Tells Fans To Not Rule Him Out From Fighting In WWE This Summer
Following his most recent fight against Dillian Whyte – Fury would be asked about the challenge of Drew McIntyre during a post fight media scrum. The reigning WBC Heavyweight Champion would have the following to say about WWE.
”Don’t rule me out of fighting there. You might see me at SummerSlam coming up soon. I got to speak to Vince and the boys, maybe make this happen. I know this Drew McIntyre has been saying a lot of things about me, I have to knock him out. I’d love to be at Cardiff.
I’d love to be back in the center stage in the UK, especially for the wrestling. I enjoyed it last time in Saudi Arabia. It was fantastic. So to come here and do it would be phenomenal, and we’re gonna we’re definitely gonna make a bit of contact and see can we make that Summer Slam thing a reality.”
Fury previously worked for WWE for one of their supershows in Saudi Arabia, where he had a short but fun bout with Braun Strowman. Strowman has since been released from WWE, and works for the small Control Your Narrative promotion. Fury remains one of the biggest names in sports today – and would certainly help to bring in extra viewers to both the UK Stadium show and Summerslam.
