Pretty Deadly might have only just arrived in NXT 2.0 – but these former NXT UK Tag Team Champions already have gold around their waists again. Being able to take out Creed Brothers to close out a brutal gauntlet match – they would claim the vacant NXT Tag Team Championships for their own. Now the real work begins, as they will have a major target on their backs in a very hungry tag team division.
A Chaotic Start To NXT 2.0 With Pretty Deadly, Grizzled Young Veterans & Bron Breakker
Hitting the ring to open the show, Pretty Deadly said that they made history by winning gold on their first night officially on the roster. They dominated the UK with their reign there, but the UK got a bit drab. It wasn’t even hard to win these belts – having beaten the four best teams on the brand to claim it.
Grizzled Young Veterans Drake & Gibson would hit the ringside area – and said that the only reason Pretty Deadly had success in the UK is because they left the brand. The only reason they won the NXT Tag Team Championships is that they weren’t in the match last week. Trying to jump the line would bring Legado Del Fantasma out – and Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde would brawl them out of the arena.
In the chaos of everything, Bron Breakker took the ring. Last week, Joe Gacy asked what Breakker is willing to sacrifice to get the Hall of Fame ring of his father back. Breakker told Gacy to come to the ring and find out, but Gacy wants Breakker to come find him. A hundred videos of Gacy laughing would overlap – and Breakker started his hunt.
Tiffany Stratton & Sarray Settle Their Issues In The Ring
Tiffany Stratton & Sarray have been clashing for weeks now, ever since Stratton called the family heirloom of Sarray junk. A sneak attack allowed Stratton to get a cheap win over Sarray, and tonight they will look to settle things once again in a singles match on NXT 2.0. Sarray has stalled a bit since making a hot debut on the brand, but is only a few wins away from a potential shot at Mandy Rose.
Sarray would look for a quick roll up early, before moving into the Indian Deathlock. She’d bridge back into the Muta Lock, but Stratton would be able to get the bottom rope. The Sunray Dropkick would be dodged, and Stratton would take advantage with a running hip attack.
Stratton would apply a submission in the middle of the ring, keen on breaking Sarray down before sending her into the corner. The spear would land, before slipping seamlessly to the apron and hitting a float over senton. An aggressive choke on the mat would fire Sarray up, who would drop Stratton for a double stomp. Sunray Dropkick was set again, and this time she got all of it – sending Stratton to the floor.
Back in the ring, Sarray would look for the German Suplex but took a headbutt and the twisting Vader Bomb for the loss. Tiffany Stratton has gotten the biggest win of her young career tonight.
