Seth Rollins has been struggling to find his place at WrestleMania 38 – and has ended up just having an open contract for tonight. Someone will step up to be his opponent, and many names have been teased. In the end it would be the choice of Vince McMahon himself, truly being able to decide the fate of Rollins on this night.
Cody Rhodes Is Back In WWE
With a choir of fans to help sing him down the ring, Seth Rollins would hit the ring – looking like the cat who caught the canary. He’s truly just happy to be at Wrestlemania this year, even with no clue who his opponent could be. Rollins was shocked by a pyro display, before the lights went dim.
“Wrestling Has More Than One Royal Family” would sound, and ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes is at Wrestlemania! Rhodes would soak in the massive crowd, before locking up with Rollins. He’d be sent off the ropes, and was able to slip through Rollins legs before hitting the Stardust taunt.
Rollins would run Rhodes down, before a big hip toss. He’d look for the Pedigree, but Rhodes would look for Cross Rhodes. Rollins would block and look for a stomp before a suplex over the top rope – both men tumbling down to the floor.
Back into the ring, Rhodes would hit a Goldust classic, before taking an enziguri from Rollins. Rhodes would take Rhodes out of the sky with a dropkick. Big gutbuster would land, before Rollins said “Welcome back to the big leagues, bitch!”
Seth Rollins Gets Dropped
Rollins would apply a bearhug to Rhodes, with Rhodes fighting free. Rhodes took some heavy chops before nailing the snap powerslam. He’d run Rollins out of the ring, before hitting a dive to the outside. Into the ring, Rhodes would hit a moonsault off the top rope for a near fall.
On the outside, Rhodes nailed the powerbomb to the barricade before a Falcon Arrow in the ring for a near fall. Rollins looked for the stomp, before Rhodes avoided and got Cross Rhodes. Rhodes went up top for another dive, before being stopped by Rollins.
Reverse superplex and 1918 would land, before Rollins went for the Phoenix Splash. Rhodes moved out of the way, before nailing looking for Tiger Driver ‘97. Rollins blocked, before Cody Cutter landed for a near fall. Pedigree would land, and another near fall would follow. Rollins would kick Rhodes in the face Kawada Style, before a rolling elbow – and a second to the neck. Rhodes would manage a set of Cross Rhodes, before nailing the Bionic Elbow. Third Cross Rhodes landed, and Rhodes is back in WWE with a big win!
