For weeks now, MJF has been looking to destroy the monster he helped create in Wardlow. He’s lost control of Mr. Mayhem, and even sending giants like W. Morrissey, Lance Archer & The Butcher did little to stop him. Tonight in MJF’s hometown of Long Island, New York – they will put pen to paper, as MJF gives Wardlow a list of conditions for a one on one match – likely to come later this month at AEW Double Or Nothing 2022.
MJF Gives Wardlow Some Conditions For A Match At Double Or Nothing
Wardlow was rushed to the ring by security, as he was once again handcuffed. Shawn Spears was standing nearby with a steel chair. MJF would get a take Dark Side of the Ring hype video voiced by a well paid Chris Jericho, Taz, and Jake Roberts. Wardlow screwed MJF during the Dog Collar Match, by handing the Dynamite Diamond ring to CM Punk.
Finally, MJF would get his heroes welcome – in the only place on earth he gets a massive pop. He’d soak in the MJF chants, before sitting down with Wardlow. MJF would butter up his hometown crowd, before comparing this to David vs. Goliath. However this time, David is from the most magical place on earth – Long Island.
MJF would reveal that if Wardlow defeats MJF at Double or Nothing – he will let Wardlow out of his contract. He’d give Wardlow a chance to speak, but instructed the crowd to NOT boo him out the building whenever he speaks. Shockingly, Wardlow didn’t get a chance to speak. MJF would bring up his friend Cody Rhodes, before referencing his contract ending in 2024.
Wardlow will have to endure ten lashes of a belt, if he wants this title shot. He will have to wrestle Shawn Spears in a steel cage- and MJF is the guest referee. If he loses at Double or Nothing, he will NEVER be allowed to sign a contract with AEW. Despite all this, Wardlow happily signed the contract – and is ready to win his freedom.
He was uncuffed to sign the deal, and MJF would cower as Wardlow ran down the entire security unit and Spears. The hometown hero was caught, but Smart Mark Sterling would save him. Wardlow hit a powerbomb through the table, and MJF might be screwed come Double Or Nothing 2022.
And Still FTW Champion..
Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs have been making a name for themselves in the AEW tag team division, and have managed to capture the attention of the champions. However, there is a condition for getting a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships, held by Jurassic Express. Jungle Boy wants a shot at Ricky Starks and the FTW Championship first – and Starks agreed to this. Now, Jungle Boy has a chance to claim some singles gold, and become a double champion in AEW.
Starks was quickly taken down to the mat as the bell rang – before he was able to out wrestle Jungle Boy. JB hit a mat return, before some open hand shots to the back of the neck. Starks would nail some strikes of his own – before hitting a big slingshot arm drag. JB would show Starks how it’s done, bouncing all over the ropes – hitting the armdrag, and finishing with a dropkick.
JB would be dropped and stomped on, before Starks would choke him on the ropes with his knee. Another dropkick from JB would land, before Starks hit a big belly to belly suplex – launching JB into the air. The waist lock would be applied, and Starks was looking to set up that spear. JB would hit some running elbow strikes, before a tornado DDT for a near fall.
Starks would get an attempt at Roshambo, but JB was able to block into an arm drag. Snare trap would be applied, but Starks was able to grab the bottom rope. Swerve Strickland stopped Starks from fleeing the match, and in the ring JB got a visual pinfall. Swerve was a distraction however, and Starks nailed Roshambo for the win.
