Two-time NBA Champion and Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Rajon Rondo has been hit with a temporary restraining order after he allegedly pulled a gun on the mother of his kids, Ashley Bachelor. She claims that Rondo also threatened to kill her.
Cavaliers Point Guard Rajon Rondo Hit with Restraining Order Following Altercation with the Mother of His Kids
The incident went down last week on May 11, 2022. According to Bachelor, Rondo was playing video games with their son when she asked their son to separate the laundry. For some unexplained reason, she says that Rondo flew into a rage, pulled the game console out of the wall, and went on to break other items in the house and even outside.
Bachelor claims that the children were frightened after seeing Rajon Rondo explode and tried to calm the situation down. Rondo allegedly responded by saying “You’re dead.” He would leave the house for roughly 15 minutes before returning with a gun. Bachelor said that she once again attempted to deescalate things when she went to the back door where Rondo was pounding on it.
Rondo is said to have yelled for her to “Go get my f**king son!” She would bring their son Pierre downstairs but kept the door closed. At some point, Pierre opened the door and Rondo pulled him outside. She says that the NBA Champion would shout at his son about being scared of him. He would later get their daughter and shout at her for the same reasons.
It wasn’t until Rondo’s parents showed up that he eventually left. Bachelor would file for an emergency order of protection on Friday, May 13. In her order, she describes Rajon Rondo as being “verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive” towards her and the kids.
Bachelor also claims that Rondo is physically abusive towards their son Pierre and “calls him names like ‘p***y’ and accuses him of acting like a ‘bitch.’” He also ‘verbally assaults our daughter. He calls her names like ‘thot, bitch, and d***head.’” She goes on to say that he has threatened to shoot her or shoot up her car.
The order was signed off by a judge who also ordered that Rajon Rondo hand over his guns to the court. Ashley Bachelor has gained temporary custody of the children while Rondo must stay 500 feet away from them for the moment.
