‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to close out the week with some fun spoilery goodies that might have some spice to them.
There’s plenty going down in Genoa City in this episode to give us hope for some fun storylines next week, but the seeds are being planted and hopefully they’ll get all the water they deserve.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, May 13: Victor does it again
Practically right after Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) gave Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) a couple of earfuls about taking dangerous jobs, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will hand him another.
To Victor, it means he trusts Michael to come through while he’s also ignoring the fact you don’t send high priced lawyers into dangerous, and he apparently is incapable of hiring quality help.
More than that, if Michael accepts despite telling Lauren it probably won’t happen, he’ll stir trouble up with her and touch off a mini war between her and Victor.
There’s only so much she’ll be able to take of having her husband sent off on some dangerous errand, and when she explodes Victor will catch more than his fair share of grief.
Of course, Michael could refuse the assignment to keep Lauren happy, but we all know he probably won’t. He loves the excitement too much.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, May 13: Nikki’s ploy
This scene has us really curious after Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott)’s talk with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) trying to redeem himself in her eyes.
It wasn’t too long ago that Nikki mentioned Ashland sounded just like Victor in that he loves Victoria but remains ruthless. Victor dismissed it, but from the start Ashland has been built to be Victor’s equal.
The build up failed miserably, but the effort was still there and Nikki and others have seen the similarities.
So, there’s a chance Nikki’s marching orders will be different than everyone else’s in that she’ll tell Ashland to give Victoria time and space.
If and when Victoria is ready to contact him she will, but it would be best to prove himself by either leaving town or just giving her time. Basically, she’ll be testing him to see if he really loves Victoria.
There’s also the possibility that she’ll follow along with the rest of the Newmans and try to force him to leave, but the kind, guiding approach is more her style.
After decades being around Victor she’s had a lot of practice with it.
Will Michael accept his new assignment or turn Victor down? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
