The one-eyed beast. The former undisputed middleweight champion. The long-time commentary of the UFC. Lastly, the man who is so long with the promotion, that he knows every fighter, every fighting style and can predict fights with great accuracy. You guessed it right, Michael Bisping is the person in question.
Let me start with this. Michael Bisping is not fond of Conor McGregor. His beef started back in 2017 when they both auditioned for a role as Hawk in a blockbuster movie. An ongoing beef starts after Bisping wins the role, and since then they are not so fond of each other.
Conor McGregor Is The Perfect Match For Charles Oliveira – Michael Bisping Says
However, we must give him that, Bisping is one of the most realistic predictors in the history of the sport. Now he predicts that if a fight is to happen between Charles Oliveira, the favorite lightweight contender, and Conor McGregor, he might root for the Irishman to win the bout.
Even though Bisping is not calling, or promoting a possible fight between these two, he is stating this as a wonder of what would happen if. He likes to do these imaginable situations and predict the outcome.
“For McGregor, does he deserve a title fight? No, he doesn’t. He is not proven what he can do since his injury, he is not to be given a title shot directly. But he’s the biggest star in the sport and sometimes that just sways in. And I wouldn’t be angry if he got it. Charles would even welcome it. That would be a massive fight, an absolute blockbuster.”- Michael Bisping says in a recent episode of Believe You Me.
“I’ve said this before, Charles can absorb a massive amount of hits. And McGregor is a striker. Out of all the matchups this one might favor Conor the most. Simply because Charles will receive so many hits. And everyone knows I’m not kissing McGregor’s ass. I’m far from being a fanboy of McGregor.” – he continues.
However, the former middleweight champion is forgetting something. Conor McGregor is made from flesh and bones as well. He suffers hits as well. And he has a vulnerable spot now. His leg, the one that got broken when he fought Dustin Poirier, is Conor’s Achilles heel now.
Even though the can give many strikes to his opponent, several consecutive strikes to the injured leg might bring the Notorious down fast. And I am almost sure that this the way a potential fight between these two would go.
Oliveira is a tough player. He is like a mad dog, held on a leash for so long. And as soon as they release the leash in the octagon, that will be the end for Conor. Oliveira will not stop until he has Conor on the ground unconscious, or until he finds himself attached to his back with his arm around his neck.
