As Elon Musk continues to have a blast trolling on Twitter while the purchase of the platform lingers, an allegation of paying $250,000 to a SpaceX flight attendant for sex has come out. According to a report from Business Insider, allegedly rubbed the leg of the attendant and offered her gifts in exchange for an erotic massage.
Elon Musk Allegedly Paid SpaceX Flight Attendant $250,000 for Erotic Massage
A friend of the flight attendant handed over messages, records, and papers detailing the 2016 incident to Business Insider. Apparently, the attendant was asked to come to his room for a ‘full body massage’ by Musk himself late in the year.
Before we get into the story further, know that SpaceX offers massages. It’s apparently a big deal and the service has massage therapists on hand for executives and so on. The friend of the flight attendant said that she was encouraged by SpaceX to get her massage therapy license with the hook of there being more with the company if she added that to her skillset.
On a SpaceX stop in London, the woman went to meet Musk. The attendant’s friend claimed that the world’s richest man was “completely naked except for a sheet covering the lower half of his body.”
A Proposition and An Uncomfortable Situation
The friend would go on to say that Elon Musk exposed himself and ‘touched the flight attendant.’ From there, he upped the ante. It’s unknown if Musk found out about the flight attendant’s love of horses but he offered to buy the woman a horse if she would ‘do more’ meaning more sex acts.
His friend would turn down the offer and simply continued the massage. Since the equestrian gambit failed, it is alleged that Musk ‘whipped out his penis’ and began propositioning her. The friend said:
“And he started propositioning her, like he touched her thigh and told her he would buy her a horse. And he basically tried to bribe her to perform some sort of sexual favor.”
Now, I’m not sure about the sequence of events during the incident but it sounds like he just left it all on the dance floor after the flight attendant turned down the horse. I mean, the friend’s account reads as if Musk was naked, hard, and trying to buy sex from a flight attendant who already got in too deep by agreeing to do the massage.
Business Insider would attempt to get more about the story and contacted Elon Musk about the allegations. He would respond:
“If I were inclined to engage in sexual harassment, this is unlikely to be the first time in my entire 30-year career that it comes to light.”
Musk would say that there was “a lot more to this story” and called the allegation a “politically motivated hit piece.”
The Aftermath
The friend said that the woman told him about the incident during a hike following the London trip. He said that she was “really upset” about what happened but didn’t know what to do about it.
The flight attendant also told him that her work opportunities began to shrink after she rebuffed the Telsa founder.
“She figured things could just go back to normal and she would pretend like nothing happened. However, she started to feel as if she was receiving some sort of retaliation where her shifts were cut back, and she was starting to feel really stressed.“
She would take legal action against SpaceX and forwarded a complaint to human resources. Things were settled following a mediator between the attendant and Elon Musk. Roughly two years later in November 2018, the flight attendant was given a $250,000 severance agreement in exchange that she not pursue legal action.
