Elon Musk has responded to fellow billionaire Bill Gates after a report indicated that the latter was financing his critics.
Elon Musk Endorses Reports That Bill Gates Is Financing His Critics-‘He Actually Could Make It Worse’
This claim arrived on the back end of a report, which had allegedly stated that Bill was providing ‘hundreds of millions of dollars’ to groups in order to get behind a campaign to make advertisers drop a working relationship with Twitter should Elon take over.
Not only that, but the report also alleged that Gates had given money to 11 organizations who had backed a letter encouraging the boycott.
While it is still too early to tell whether or not this report has some actual substance, Elon could not help but respond anyway. In his comments on Twitter, Elon simply wrote: “Sigh.” This is not the first time that the two billionaires have butted heads.
Gates questioned Elon’s intentions over what he intends to do with Twitter after Musk declared his desire to make the platform cater towards more free speech.
So much so that reports claimed Donald Trump could make a sensational return to the platform. But in the process of doing so, Bill felt that Musk’s policy could backfire. In his comments at the time, Gates remarked: “He actually could make it worse.
“When he talks about the openness, how does he feel about something such as “vaccines kill people” or that “Bill Gates is tracking people” is that one of the things he feels should be spread?”
Rather than addressing any concerns, though, Elon does what he thinks best. Aside from referring to Gates as a ‘knucklehead’ in the past, Elon also brutally mocked his appearance just last month.
In the picture here, we can see an emoji of a pregnant man put side-by-side next to a picture of Bill, whose belly can be seen sticking out. The post was captioned by the following comments: “In case u need to lose a boner fast.”
It is safe to say that Elon and Gates do not see eye to eye. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
