Prince William and Kate Middleton will reportedly not be present when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter Lilibet meets Queen Elizabeth II.
Fans React As Prince William And Kate Middleton Will Not Be Present When The Queen Meets Lilibet-‘Hating On Their Biracial Niece’
Meghan and Harry are set to attend Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee on Thursday, 2nd June 2022. And as part of that process, this will be the first time that the monarch will set her eyes on Lilibet.
With that being said, there would have been an expectation on William and Kate to have shown their faces irrespective of any bad relations that there may be between all the sides. And yet, it seems that this is not going to be the case.
If this report is taken to be true, then it is very significant for the following reasons. First of all, reports indicated that Harry and William had patched things up following an exchange of messages in the run-up to the Jubilee.
Therefore, William’s absence runs contrary to things being in a good place. Secondly, their absence could be due to Meghan. After all, she had spoken against Kate in her Oprah Winfrey interview after admitting that the latter had made her cry.
Despite that being said, this could simply be due to the fact that William and Kate want to give the couple some privacy with the monarch. The fans on social media had a mixed response to this.
A certain subset of people were of the view that William and Kate had shown massive disrespect for not taking their time out to see Lilibet. Meanwhile, others did not blame the couple on the basis that Meghan was hardly someone to be around.
One person wrote: “Good that Kate & William will be busy. They won’t miss much with Meg, Harr & the clan,” while another person stated: “Not surprised that William and Kate are hating on their biracial niece.”
Only William and Kate know the real reasons for their absence, but in any event, it does not paint them in a good light. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
