Jake Paul Respects Mike Tyson Too Much To Fight Him

For some time now we are waiting for a definite answer on whether we should or shouldn’t expect a Mike Tyson against Jake Paul fight. Even though it is quite obvious since the beginning, now we might have the answer.

According to Jake Paul’s sparring partner, Anthony Taylor, the fight will not happen because the duo has the utmost respect for each other, so they cannot fight.

A teaser for a possible fight has surfaced last week, saying that Tyson is considering the fight, however, it did not come to fruition.

“Hell yeah, I’d do it, only to break the record. Let’s do it Jakey. God, wouldn’t that be cool?” –  Tyson says and refers to the pay-per-view record that Floyd Mayweather holds. Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao fight that took place back in 2015 holds the current record with 4.6 million pay-per-view subscriptions.

Tyson continues his glorification of Jake by adding that he is more profitable than many champions. That he might easily bring above 80 million people to the table. And this is an impressive number.

Jake in the meantime publishes a tweet stating that we can expect him back in the ring on the 13th of August. Who will he fight is still a mystery.

Anthony Taylor, a long-time sparring partner of Jake and Logan Paul, as well as a pro-boxer is sure that the bout against Mike will not happen, however, he is also sure that the YouTuber will be given a chance against Canelo.

“I think Jake Paul and Canelo will happen, I don’t think it’s just hype. I mean, we’re talking about Jake in three years from now of course, not right now. Jake is good, but imagine how much better he’ll get in three years from today. He’s only going to get better. He’s only going forward. Jake will be ten times better than Jake Paul of today. And he would be competitive. Canelo will be a Hall of Famer, but give Jake a few years.” – the pro-boxer says.

“Jake’s a bigger guy, taller, longer than Canelo, but we can’t disregard Canelo’s skill set. Now Jake is still learning in this game. But give him a few years. I really don’t see Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fighting just because they’re very good friends. They have too much mutual respect between them to be involved in having a fight. Maybe I’m missing something, maybe they are going to fight, but I just don’t really see Mike going in there any time soon with Jake, I would be surprised.” – he adds.

So, on that bombshell, we can go to sleep without hesitating whether Mike will fight Jake or not. We are sure that the bout is out of the question now.
