First of all, succeeding on YouTube alone is not an easy job. There are many ‘YouTubers’ and influencers coming out all the time and all of them offer more or less the same content. In order to reach the top of the game on social media, you need to offer something unseen until then. Something interesting to watch and engaging for the consumers.
Jake Paul somehow reached great success on YouTube as well as on other social media. He starts with filming ‘vines’, scary videos, pranks, etc and that leads him to the position he is in now.
Joe Rogan Says That If Jake Paul Was Not A Youtuber, He Would Have Been More Valued As A Boxer
However, the young influencer is seeking more than this. He is now transitioning to boxing. And he manages to be good at it. He has five bout, all of them wins. He is a 5-0-0 at the moment. Amongst his beaten opponents we can see Tyron Woodley’s name and Ben Asken’s.
Regardless of his great results, and obviously, good technique, the people all over the world are downgrading him and not ‘accepting’ him as a pro-boxer, but as a boxing clown.
In a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan gives his opinion on Jake’s boxing career. He is aware of the call-outs that Jake did over the last period and is aware of his claim that he can beat any fighter in Eddie Hearn’s promotion.
“What if Jake Paul knocks one of them out. Jake Paul can crack. One hundred percent. That knockout against Tyron Woodley is legit as fuck. His power and his skills are unquestionable. People might downgrade him as much as they want, but he is a legit boxer. He has legit strength and legit skills” – Rogan says.
He shares another big thing when Jake Paul is in question. Joe mentions his famous persona and wonders how the people would look at him if he was only a boxer.
“If Jake Paul wasn’t Jake Paul, if he wasn’t this YouTube guy, but he was just a boxer… you see a boxer knock out the former UFC Welterweight Champion. Not just the former, but one of the best ever. You’d be like, have you seen this Jake Paul dude coming up? He’s for real!” – Rogan adds.
If you observe Jake Paul’s movements in the ring, his stance, and the way he throws the punches you will see that they all look professional. Nevertheless, professional and very powerful.
I think that they should put him against some of the great boxing names at the moment. He asks for Canelo Alvarez. So give it to him. If he wins, he proves that he is a great boxer in deed. However, if he loses, his mouth will be shut for quite some time.
