Even with him being on the injured list in AEW, Kenny Omega remains in the forefront of fans all around the world. Whenever a major WWE event comes around, you’ll always find WWE fans comparing talents like Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns to the ace of AEW. However, Kenny Omega has no ill will against wrestlers from rival companies, and would welcome the chance to share the ring with the likes of Roman Reigns.
Kenny Omega Would Welcome Match With Roman Reigns – Feels It Would Shock Fans
Responding to a fan on Twitter who claimed that Roman Reigns wouldn’t last five minutes in the ring with Omega, he’d quickly respond with the following.
>“I’m sure he could. He’s their top guy for a reason and works hard to be that guy. I think the match would surprise a lot of people.”
Omega has never been one to feed into tribalism between AEW & WWE fans, and tends to show nothing but respect to his contemporaries. Right now, he’s out of the ring as he rehabs injuries sustained throughout 2021 during his time as AEW, Impact Wrestling, and AAA Champion. His last match as of time of writing was against Hangman Page at Full Gear 2021 – which saw him drop the AEW World Championship.
Roman Reigns Has Proven Himself A Top Worker – Despite The Opinion Of Some Fans
While his initial push in WWE was too headstrong for his skill level at the time, it’d be a hard sell to pitch that in 2022 – Roman Reign is not one of the best big match wrestlers in the world today. No matter who he shares the ring with, he is able to shine like the star that WWE always wanted him to be.
At a certain point, credit doesn’t just go to the likes of Seth Rollins, Edge, Bryan Danielson, and Cesaro for great performances – as it takes two to make a great match. Putting Omega & Reigns in the same ring would be the definition of a big money match – and easily a main event match if WWE & AEW ever put on a supershow.
