That is according to Royal commentator Rafe Heydel-Mankoo. It is no secret that Meghan did not hold the Royal family in high regard, which was shown in her controversial Oprah Winfrey interview.
She went on the front foot by revealing that she was having suicidal thoughts, as a result of her treatment. Not only that, but there was another serious accusation which included a member of the Royal family allegedly having concerns about her son Archie’s skin colour.
Although Meghan has visited the UK since, alongside Prince Harry, in order to see Queen Elizabeth II, not everyone has been happy with their efforts.
And none more so than Rafe. In an interview with GB News, he said: “It looks as if, you know, apart from moaning about the royals there’s not much that they’re able to do.”
Rafe’s comments are part of the wider concerns surrounding Meghan’s ventures following Netflix’s decision to cancel her cartoon series entitled ‘Pearl.’
This was as a result of reported budget cuts, as well as a dramatic decrease in the number of subscribers on the platform. But after having signed lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify, the couple have failed to generate a lot of content.
That has not sat well with Rafe. He stated: “There is nothing for Meghan to show for it and it’s really calling into question whether they can walk the walk. They’re good at talking the talk.”
As of now, it is too early to tell what the impact of this Netflix decision will have on Meghan.
But if other projects follow in a similar direction and end up being scrapped, then there will be serious question marks over the viability of her ‘brand’ post the Royal family.
