For the past few years, WWE has had a dominant faction running Friday Nights. Roman Reigns & The Usos have a stranglehold on the WWE Championship, WWE Universal Championship, and Smackdown Tag Team Championships. Known as The Bloodline, they’ve become one of the best faction in recent WWE history – but have no way to control the Smackdown Women’s Championship… but Naomi isn’t against joining up.
If The Bloodline Ain’t Broke – Why Add To It?
It’s no secret that Naomi has been married to Jimmy Uso for a few years now, and fans have wondered why she has not been brought into the faction yet. During a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, Naomi would discuss the chance of joining The Bloodline – but only when the faction needs an extra boost.
“I’m definitely not opposed to it and I think that it’s so important in our business to grow and evolve. If it ain’t there organically then I don’t want it and I don’t want it to be something just for the sake of doing it. Okay, we’ve seen her in the ‘Glow’ for this long. Let’s just go heel, see something different. I really believe in it evolving naturally there.
It definitely works but I think just right now, there has to be a way to get me there because I’m so not affiliated with them right now on the show. They’re killing it. The faction is incredible. Like, if ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
Naomi Is Thriving In The WWE Women’s Tag Team Division
Right now, Naomi is one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, reigning alongside Sasha Banks. They claimed the belts at WrestleMania 38 – and are currently feuding with Natalya & Shayna Baszler over the titles.
Prior to this, Naomi was in a feud with Sonya Deville – with the end of that feud coming in a tag team match where she teamed with Ronda Rousey. She’s also challenged for the Smackdown Women’s Championship recently, pushing champion Charlotte Flair to her limits.
