When the blocks for BOSJ were announced, everyone wanted to see Hiromu Takahashi vs. the new kid on the block, Francesco Akira. We don’t need to wait however, as tonight Takahashi faces the protege of Will Ospreay himself. These two are both coming off big victories, and will look to prove who can break out in the tournament in the early days of the A-Block. It’s the only match that is essentially sure to give someone four points on this night, provided they don’t go a full 30 minutes.
A Lightning Fast Start To This Main Event
These two started off hot with an exchange of forearms in the middle of the ring. They’d gradually speed up, before Akira shoved Hiromu off the ropes for a shoulder tackle. Akira came back with a head scissor takedown into a dropkick, before going for a baseball slide.
Hiromu dodged and looked for the Sunset Bomb off the apron, before Akira blocked and hit a plancha. In the ring, Akira hit a crossbody press, and got a two count. Hiromu was run head first into the steel ring post. Akira would look for Speed Fire in the ring, but Hiromu was able to counter out and hit a headscissor takedown.
A set of shotgun dropkicks would follow, including one on the floor – with Hiromu launching himself off the apron. Akira would nail some downward elbow strikes, before a pop up powerbomb in the ring caught him for a nearfall. Hiromu was caught with the Brutta Faccia kick in the corner, before fighting free from Fireplex.
