There is just one BULLET CLUB vs. BULLET CLUB match in this tournament – with Taiji Ishimori facing SHO tonight. They’re firmly on the same side, but SHO is looking to earn himself a chance to become the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, and redeem some previous losses to Ishimori. Whoever wins here has a claim as the junior ace of BULLET CLUB, making this one worth more than just some points.
SHO vs. Taiji Ishimori Tells The Story Of Who Is A Better Rulebreaker
Ishimori would send SHO to the floor to start this match, before exposing a turnbuckle. SHO would slip back into the ring, before being choked in the corner. Ishimori would have his eyes raked, and he’d swing wildly as a result – before his head met the timekeeper’s table.
SHO would choke Ishimori in the corner with his boot, before having his head jammed into the corner from a Flatliner by Ishimori. La Mistica would be blocked, before SHO would nail a spear. The exposed corner was used as Ishimori was thrown in shoulder first.
SHO would nail some quick kicks, before the Handspring Blast Kick from Ishimori landed. Ishimori would pretend SHO hit him with the title belt before a roll up for a two count, while the referee was confused. Another roll up near the ropes would almost get SHO, but Ishimori was caught with his feet on the ropes.
Ishimori would grab the wrench of SHO, and once again feigned injury as he chucked the weapon to SHO. This time the referee was distracted as he threw the wrench away. Ishimori smashed SHO in the face with his belt, and remains perfect in this tournament.
El Lindaman Dumps El Desperado On His Head
Ever since El Desperado mentioned the name of El Lindaman back in January, the fans of NJPW wanted this match. While he might not be able to defend the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship against him, they will clash in the main event of the biggest night yet of block action. Desperado is also looking to keep his winning streak alive, with the chance to already reach eight points.
El Lindaman would start this match fast, sending Desperado to the floor and hitting the dive over the top rope. Shotgun Dropkick in the ring would land, before Desperado was choked in the corner. An elbow smash would keep Desperado grounded, but Kumigoroshi would be blocked.
Desperado would plant Lindaman with the spinebuster, before sending him to the outside for the cannonball dive. Guitara Del Angel would land in the ring, before Lindaman nailed the overhead suplex into the corner. Superplex would be set, but Desperado fought free with a headbutt. Lindaman would scurry back up top, and took Desperado into a cross armbreaker. Kumigoroshi would land, but a sloppy cover allowed Desperado to kick out. Lindaman was locked into Numero Dos, with Desperado just losing grip for long enough for Lindaman to get the bottom rope.
A backdrop would follow, before Lindaman threw a rolling elbow smash. High Angle German Suplex would follow, but Desperado hung on. Tiger Suplex would be set, but Desperado slipped free. A snap suplex into Tiger Suplex would follow, and Lindaman claimed the victory!
