El Lindaman has a chance to finish his first Best of the Super Juniors tournament with double digits, a nice prize to be had for sure – given he’s unable to make the finals. All that stands in his way is BUSHI, a man who El Lindaman praised before the tournament. He did also claim that BUSHI lacks hunger, keeping him away from being a big star. Can BUSHI prove him wrong tonight?
BUSHI Manages To Finish Strong
BUSHI would take a kick to the gut as this match began, before Lindaman hit the running forearm smash. Stomping the masked man into the corner, Lindaman would take a dropkick to the knee as a response. BUSHI would hit a neckbreaker before applying the STF.
Into the corner, BUSHI hit Lindaman with a double handed chop, before Lindaman rushed into some big boots. Neckbreaker out of the corner would land, before Lindaman hit a missile dropkick from the top rope. Lindaman would go for the German Suplex, but BUSHI blocked at the ropes before nailin the Short Range dropkick.
BUSHI would follow with the DDT onto the apron, and Lindaman fired back with a back suplex in the middle of the ring. Kumagoroshi was blocked, before hitting a snap German Suplex for a near fall. Tiger Suplex was blocked by BUSHI, before hitting the rewind kick.
Lungblower would land, before BUSHI went to the second rope. MX landed, and BUSHI finishes his tournament at 8 points, the same point total that Lindaman entered this match at.
Alex Zayne Became A Fan Favourite Over His Tour
Both Clark Connors & Alex Zayne did well for their first time in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament. Connors earned 6 points to start, while Zayne got 8 points. With just one match left to go against each other, giving one last chance to finish this tournament strong. This tournament was a smash success for Zayne, who alongside Ace Austin would become a fan favourite.
Connors wouldn’t care, and nailed a spear to start the match, before sending Zayne outside for a second spear. Back into the ring, Connors applied a grounded Full Nelson hold. Zayne fought to the ropes, before hitting a lariat. Jeep Flip was blocked with the flipping leg drop, and Connors was set up on the top rope.
Zayne hit the running frankensteiner to send Connors from the top rope and into the middle of the ring. Connors would set up a suplex onto the apron, before getting frustrated and going for a spear. He was caught, and slammed down with a powerbomb, and pushed back into the ring by 15.
Cinnamon Twist would be blocked with the knees, before a snap powerslam. Zayne got a roll up, but was caught into the Trophy Kill – ending this match in sudden fashion. Both Alex Zayne & Clark Connors finish at a respectable 8 points.
