It’s not a surprise that Sasha Banks would be facing a lot of heat, according to Dave Meltzer, after walking out in the middle of a show over creative differences.
Vince McMahon isn’t known for being gracious when talent walks out or tries to hold him up for money, especially if there’s a reason for it.
What happened on WWE Raw on 5/16 was arguably the worse case scenario after the six pack challenge involving Banks, Naomi, Becky Lynch, Asuka, Doudrop, and Nikki ASH was promoted at the start of the show prior and then the walk out happened.
Will they be released?
It’s hard to imagine Vince not taking some action against them for walking out in the middle of the show, and we’ll find out what some of that might be on tonight’s WWE Smackdown (5/20).
While we can’t really trust what the WWE says (remember the Steve Austin situation?), they’ll either be completely quiet, vacate the women’s tag titles, or put a hit piece out on Banks.
What’s interesting is there have been reports/rumors going around on the internet that Naomi isn’t in as much trouble as Banks for various reasons.
Because of all of this, fans have been wondering if they’ll be released as punishment or ride out their contracts from the comfort of their homes in a type of suspension.
There’s been plenty of back and forth between fans and wrestlers as well as many have weighed in one way or another, but the one constant is Sasha Banks may not be done in the WWE.
She’s one of the best in the world as has branched out into acting, so she has the star power to make some wave and create some change.
Losing her and having her go to AEW, Impact Wrestling, the NWA, or anywhere else would be a significant hit for the WWE and a possible nightmare scenario in some cases.
Naomi appears to be safe
Since the heat is on Banks, there is talk that Naomi is on safer ground given her ties to the Bloodline and the apparent belief that she was manipulated by Sasha into leaving.
We don’t know how true that it is, but there’s always a possibility.
In the end, we don’t think she’s in danger simply because the focus is on Banks and she’s going to take the brunt of whatever the WWE decides to do.
