For viewers of the TLC show, ‘Sister Wives’, Kody Brown comes off as one who cares less to the emotions of his wives. Kody is husband to four wives, but one of them, Christine Brown left and moved back to Utah. Fans hate the fact that the patriarch always acts indifferent and unbothered, and they want to know why.
Kody Brown’s Insensitivity To His Wives’ Emotions
The 53-year-old TLC star has proven in many instances that he could be as unbothered about his wives’ emotions as he wishes to be. One of which was during the most recent Tell-All where Janelle Brown got visibly upset and decided to stay away from the camera; the host at the time suggested that Kody should run after his wife and he responded by yelling “no.”
Why Cold-hearted Kody Brown Never Comforts His Wives
Another such instance was when Christine was crying in season 16. While Meri Brown was trying to pacify her and also distract her by showing her Arizona mountains, Kody just stayed still, ignoring what was going on. Fans will also recollect when Kody and Christine got into an argument about his Covid-19 rules, he just stood up and left saying he would return the next day. According to Meri, Kody once revealed that he would not “cross a burning bridge to save her.”
Kody Brown Would Rather Ignore Conflicts Rather Than Handling Them
The father of 18’s lack of empathy is not the only thing that bothers Sister wives’ viewers, another thing that fans can’t get over with is the way Kody seems to act like the only one entitled enough to make the rules around the family. He also decides to ignore his wives whenever he wishes too. With all of Kody’s irking behaviours, it’s not surprising that some of his children do not have a relationship with him.
He also made his relationship with his kids worse when he decided to quarantine along with Robyn and her kids, neglecting his other wives and their children. The best explanation for Kody’s actions is that he would rather ignore conflicts than having to deal with them.
