Conor McGregor, The Notorious fighter, the once unbeatable UFC legend, now still controversial, but beaten on several occasions is looking for a return amongst the UFC Champions.
After a long pause due to an injury on his leg, he is plotting his return and is struggling to choose the best opponent for him.
Despite everything, despite his losses, his controversies, and ‘no censure’ speaking, Conor remains the most popular UFC star.
Will Conor McGregor Feature On The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast? – Joe Rogan Promised To Invite Him
In the first match against Dustin Poirier, The Notorious receives a brutal KO by the Diamond. However, he does not have enough and asks for scheduling another fight against the lightweight.
At the UFC 264, Conor suffers a leg injury in what is to be the rematch with Dustin Poirier. Post-fight inside the octagon he is interviewed by the podcaster Joe Rogan who makes a promise to him. He promises that after his recovery, he will see him in the podcast studio.
Just days after that McGregor shares a photo of him in the octagon with Rogan beside him interviewing him. “Me an Rogan #FrameThatInTheStudio #JoeRoganExperience #SpotifyDealz #Freaks” – says in the description.
“Conor, I’m framing this in the studio. We’re framing that. It’s gonna be in the studio. So there you go, Conor. As soon as he said it, I’m like, of course, I’m gonna frame that. Take that scooter down here, Conor. Come on, man. Let’s talk. Let’s have some fun. Conor, let’s do a podcast.” – Now, after one year since the event, Rogan responds.
The photo of the duo is still not put in the studio, at least not at a visible place for the cameras, however, it might get its place in the following period.
McGregor is showing interest in featuring in the podcast since prior to the Dustin Poirier fight. In a response to a fan on Twitter, he states that his respect for Joe is great and he would very much like to feature on the podcast.
“I’d love to! I feel at some stage we should! I have a lot of respect for Joe. He shouted me out before anyone else in the UFC also. Before I had signed with the company.” – Conor Tweets.
And the reactions that this tweet is getting are really interesting.
“That would undoubtedly be the best JRE episode ever.” – a fan replies.
“This has to happen. It would be such a shame if we didn’t see two articulate, knowledgeable, respectful & comedic men come together & chat for 2 hours. I’d be tuned in the whole time.” – says another one.
To be honest I do not know what is the hold up on this? Joe Rogan has UFC stars as guests on a regular basis. Featuring Conor on one of the episodes might easily be one of his most viewed episodes and one with the most interesting topics sport-wise.
Let us know in the comments who else you think Joe should invite to the podcast.
