I mean, the fame and the whirlwind regarding whether Joe Rogan will continue commenting on the UFC events is a done deal. After his viral video scandal of him using the N-word his future in the UFC was standing on ‘glass legs’. It’s like Dana White was waiting for the world to determine whether they will judge him for it, or it will let him pass. And as most of us would expect, he has a pass.
The MMA world is eagerly waiting for the next UFC event that will happen on the 7th of May 2022 at the Footprint center in Phoenix, Arizona. Aside from the bouts in the event, the public also shows interest in finding out about the commentary team. The commentary team for the Ultimate Fighting Championship event 274 is announced. It will consist of the usual color commentators like Joe Rogan, Jon Anik, and Daniel Cormier.
Will Joe Rogan Be A Part Of The Commentary Team For The UFC 274?
According to many, there is no one to match the podcaster when it comes to commenting on the events. He is extremely talented, his commenting is as colorful as it can be and as exciting as it can get. His passion and excitement can be seen on his face while the comments are given. He speaks with such a passion. It is not in vain that Michael Bisping labels him as the Godfather of MMA commentary.
As he says: “Obviously you’ve got to earn that spot as a commentary, and I guess I’ve done that. But just to get the call and the offer is incredible. And yeah, Joe Rogan’s the godfather of MMA commentary. Let’s be honest.”
It is not the first time that this trio teams up for commenting on an event. The first time they were commenting together was back in January, on the UFC 270. They have shown that they can make a great team and deliver a great listening experience.
At this event, the main bout is the Lightweight fight between Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje. The public is expecting this to be a great clash. Charles Oliveira is the current champion of the lightweight division and has held this position for one year. Since then he defended his title one more time, against Dustin Poirier, making his 10th win in a row.
Justin Gaethje on the other side is a fighter that has only one loss in the last 4 years. His record stands at 23-3-0. With only 3 losses he is one of the best Lightweight fighters in the MMA history. Will he be able to take the title from Charles Oliveira? We will see very soon.
