Nikitta Lyons & Fallon Henley were so close to the finals of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, that they can taste it. Lyons defeated Arianna Grace, and Henley defeated Sloane Jacobs. However, Lyons getting injured meant Tiffany Stratton is in, making a new semi-finals match. Stratton jumps in with just one match between her and the finals, which could quickly be in line for a title shot because of it.
Tiffany Stratton Earns Her Way To Finals Of Tournament On First Night
Henley would start this match with some heavy strikes, before hitting a running dropkick. Stratton would go to the bottom rope, before taking a punch to the face. Henley would be hit with a hip attack, before a senton over the top rope. Stratton would hit the back handspring elbow before a double stomp for a near fall.
Stratton would apply a bridging Indian Deathlock, but Henley was able to break free. A cutter was blocked, before the leg of Henley gave out. Slingshot dropkick and Quite The Twist later, and Stratton moves right to the finals. She will face Roxanne Perez, a match that literally no one could have had in their bracket.
The winner of this tournament gets a title shot of their choosing within NXT. Options are basically just the NXT Women’s Championship, and NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships – or possibly even the NXT UK Women’s Championship.
Von Wagner Seeks To Injure Ikeman Jiro Again
Ikeman Jiro has a major score to settle with Von Wagner. Just as Jacket Time was showing potential as a tag team, Wagner would remove KUSHIDA from the roster with a violent attack. He also looked to take Jiro out of action, but failed. Now with a fire in his heart and motivation for revenge, Jiro will look to show his full power tonight as he goes one on one with Wagner.
Jiro rushed the ring and immediately hit a back handspring into an elbow. Wagner would take some palm strikes before hitting the twisting powerslam. A series of elbow drops to the back would follow, before a spinning back suplex. Jiro would get yanked off the top rope, before firing back with a dropkick.
Some jacket assisted Shotei palm strikes would land, before Wagner took an enziguri to the face. To the outside, Wagner took a dropkick through the ropes before a moonsault. Back into the ring, diving DDT would land, before Wagner hit the modified Death Valley Driver for the win.
