Alba Fyre was able to reignite her career in NXT 2.0 with a rebranding, and after a strong victory over Amari Miller, is ready for some real competition. Elektra Lopez of Legado Del Fantasma is one of the hardest hitters on the roster today, and has a lot of potential. However, it will take more than just potential to defeat the Forever Champion, as she will learn tonight.
Alba Fyre Continues To Burn Through Women’s Division
At ringside for this match was Cora Jade, who was just watching this match. Fyre would be taken down to the mat, before Lopez would take this one to the floor. Lopez would lose control, before Fyre nailed some strikes in the ring. An arm wrench would take Fyre to the mat, before being driven shoulder first into the corner.
Fyre would keep going for her strikes, before hitting a superkick and looking for the Gory Bomb. Lopez would send her off into the corner, before being rolled up. Superkick, headbutt, and Swanton Bomb for the win. After the match, Lopez would slap Jade’s popcorn away, before stomping off.
Roxanne Perez Shows That Just Three Seconds Of A Match Matters
Roxanne Perez has been showing her skills since joining NXT 2.0, but has never faced someone quite like Lash Legend before. The size difference alone will be hard for Perez to match, but Legend is also improving week by week. Tonight, with a spot in the finals of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament on the line – these two will clash in singles action.
Before this match, Nikitta Lyons would be announced as injured – pushing Fallon Henley into the finals. Tiffany Stratton would insult her for taking the easy path, and set up a match for later tonight.
Roxanne would be hit with an inverted suplex but Legend was able to kip up. A stomp to the back would land, before a stalling Butterfly Backbreaker. Roxanne would kick Legend down to a knee, before a leaping lariat. Legend would overpower Perez before taking Pop Rocks for the finish. Perez pushes to finals.
Indi Hartwell Seeks To Prove She Can Ride Solo
Mandy Rose has had a stranglehold on the NXT Women’s division these past few months, and is not keen on letting go of the top prize. However, now Indi Hartwell is ready to prove that she can fly solo in WWE, and has taken aim at the reigning and defending NXT Women’s Champion. Hartwell has lost Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Dexter Lumis, Perisa Pirotta – and wants nothing to do with Duke Hudson, so tonight is the start of her next career chapter.
Hartwell would start off fast with some arm wrenches, before shoulder tackles to Rose. A snapmare and kick to the spine would follow, before some shoulder tackles into the corner. Hartwell would shoot back with a sidewalk slam, before Rose slipped to the outside.
Back into the ring, Rose was able to regain control, with a bodyscissors lock. Hartwell would use a pinfall attempt to break free, before taking a snap suplex Abdominal Stretch would be applied, but Hartwell broke free. Dolin & Jayne would be beaten to the ringside area by Chance & Carter, and Rose took advantage of the distraction to hit a knee strike for the win.
