Tonight looks like it’s going to be an interesting one with RK-Bro looking for an answer to their challenge to unify the tag titles, and the women’s tag team titles will be on the line as Sasha Banks and Naomi fa Shayya Baszler and Natalya.
We’ll be back to kick WWE Smackdown Live Results into gear and get the show rolling at the 8 p.m. EST showtime.
Segment 1
RK-Bro called out the Usos and Roman Reigns, and Sami Zayn answered. Orton begged him to make a match between Zayn and Riddle, and if Riddle wins they get their unification match.
Zayn agreed but said it’ll be a while. Adam Pearce made the match minus the stipulation and it’s next.
Segment 2
Riddle w/Randy Orton vs. Sami Zayn
Zayn started off better than he has in a while and far more aggressive as he took it to Riddle. Riddle began a comeback, but Zayn shoved him off the top rope and into the barricade as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
This was a great match to start off the show and Riddle survived a near count out to hit a Bro-Derek for the win. McAfee too a shot at quarterbacks by comparing Zayn’s strategy to throwing for pass interference penalty and called them cheap tactics.
Segment 4
Ronda Rousey came out and said she wants to be a fighting champion and issued an open challenge, and Raquel Rodriguez accepted.
Segment 5
Smackdown Women’s Championship – Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez
This was a dominating match by Raquel with Ronda sneaking out the win by rolling through a powerbomb attempt into a pin.
Segment 6
Madcap Moss gave an interview where he announced he wants to win the Money in the Bank Contract, and Happy Corbin attacked him with a chair. He then put the chair around Moss’ neck and slammed the Andre the Giant trophy into the chair.
Segment 7
Women’s Tag Team Championship – Sasha Banks and Naomi (c) vs. Natalya and Shayna Baszler
This started off with some good back and forths, and Baszler blind tagged in and stomped Banks to break her second Bank Statement attempt on Natalya as we headed to commercial.
Segment 8
This was a fun match with plenty of reversals and counters, including Naomi countering a Sharpshooter attempt by Natalya into a pin for the win.
Segment 9
Kofi Kingston w/Xavier Woods vs. Butch w/ Sheamus and Ridge Holland
Kofi came out firing and aggressive with a dropkick and didn’t let up as he sent Butch to the floor and his a running kick as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
Sheamus distracted Kofi and Butch hit a gut wrench from slam for the win. Butch then ran off into the crowd, then came back to celebrate.
Segment 11
The Bloodline came out, and after Reigns turned it over to the Usos to decide what they’ll do, RK-Bro came out.
After a back and forth, the Usos accepted their challenge for next week and Riddle nailed Reigns with a knee as he lifted his titles up and RK-Bro took off and mocked them from the ramp.
This was a pretty decent show. It flowed well and the matches were top notch without a bunch of gimmicks right and left.
