Towards the end of the third season, Tammy seemed to have realized that she needed to deal with her addiction to food and her health concerns, so she checked herself into rehab. While Tammy has remained surprisingly silent for a while now, rumors have it that Tammy has been doing well at the rehab center and she has now qualified for her bariatric surgery which would most likely take place in this month. After many weeks of silence, Tammy finally spoke up in a recent TikTok video in which she reacted to a fan’s question that read, “weight update? If u don’t mind just genuinely curious.” In this video, Tammy made it clear that although she was back and has now broken her silence, she could not speak about her weight loss, mainly because of her contract with TLC. Tammy’s revelation has confirmed what many viewers suspect.
Fans have always thought that TLC would renew the 1000-Lb. sisters show for another season and Tammy’s statement that the network wanted her to keep something a secret would mean that another season might be airing soon. Now viewers of the show have plenty to say about Tammy’s new video. Even with these rumors, some fans do not believe that Tammy has lost weight and they got expressive on Reddit. One fan said, “I’m not saying she’s lost weight, but I think with the trach it might be difficult to tell if she lost weight while looking at her chin as the trach will push it all forward.” Another fan made reference to Tammy’s history of not being able to lose weight but stated that it’s likely viewers can’t tell yet.
