Emily was in China as an English teacher when she met Kobe who came from Cameroon, the duo fell in love and Emily got pregnant and the next plan was for Kobe to travel to the US to be with Emily and the baby but the Pandemic delayed this plan. During the pandemic, the couple’s son—Koban was born and things changed drastically from her weight to her relationship with Kobe.
When the couple finally met after two years, Emily admitted she looked different which was the first thing Kobe pointed out when he saw her and fans frowned at it. He however explained that he never meant to insult her and was only pointing out that things had changed. Kobe lashed out at Emily once due to the situation of things and the frustrations that came with it and that made matters worse.
Emily‘s parents, whom the couple was living with told their daughter that she didn’t have to marry Kobe for the sake of getting married as they were concerned that he was not bringing anything to the table and especially after the fight they had when he lashed out. In preparation for the coming wedding, Emily went on a wedding dress shopping trip and then she spills a secret she has been keeping.
She revealed that she had bought herself an engagement ring in case Kobe doesn’t get it right; this shocked her friends and a lot of fans. “I have to wear a ring forever, so I want it to be something I love. It’s not that I don’t have faith in Kobe, but I also don’t want to put much pressure on him,” she said. When she was asked by her friends what would happen if Kobe ended up buying her a ring, she claimed that she would “suck it up” and wear his ring. Although her friends doubt that would happen as they believe Emily likes being in control.
