Meghan Markle had reportedly wanted her children to reunite with their cousins during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
Meghan Markle Wanted Children To Reconcile But William And Kate Threw It In Her Face-‘Markle Was Really Hoping, Re-Bond The Whole Family Together’
That is according to Royal expert Neil Sean. It is no secret that Meghan and the Royal family are not on good terms. While that may be the case, the fact that this feud has now spread towards the next generation of Royals by getting the children involved cannot be a good thing.
And in an attempt to prevent that from happening, the Duchess was hoping that any bad blood could have been put aside for the children involved. After all, it is very rare that the children will see each other, if at all.
Sadly, though, those attempts were brutally shut down. In his comments, Neil said: “Meghan Markle was really hoping to reconcile with Kate using the children to try and re-bond the whole family together.”
Nevertheless, these comments have to be taken with a pinch of salt. First of all, William and Kate had been engaged in Royal duties. So the fact that Harry and Meghan arrived did not detract from the fact that they were preoccupied with other matters.
Secondly, Harry and Meghan did leave the celebrations before their conclusion. Naturally, there could have been an opportunity to reconcile had they stayed until the end or longer.
And yet, the response on social media was mixed. A certain subset of people criticised Markle on the basis she couldn’t expect the Royal family to drop everything for her. Meanwhile, others slammed the Royal family for failing to reach out.
One person wrote: “Actually, I heard Kate was washing her hair but I could be wrong!” while another person stated: “Meg’s learning that ‘what Megan wants Megan does NOT always get.”
If there is real appetite for the children to reconcile, then there are plenty of opportunities for all sides to come together and hash things out. Time will tell whether that does end up happening.
