Yuto Nakashima is showing potential as a future heavyweight great here in NJPW, but tonight he’s still a Young Lion. Tonight, he will open New Japan Road against DOUKI, a man who recently had his best showing yet in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament.

    DOUKI Chokes Yuto Nakashima Out

DOUKI would start things off with a simple wrist lock, before being blocked into a tight hammerlock. Side headlock would be applied, and Nakashima was relentless. DOUKI would shove him off, but was ran down with a shoulder tackle before hitting a slick neckbreaker.

Nakashima would be dropped with a throat thrust next, before holding his ground during a vertical suplex attempt. A body slam would get him a two count on DOUKI, before Boston Crab would be applied.

DOUKI would find the bottom rope, before landing the enziguri. Nakashima would get the inside cradle for a desperate pinfall attempt, before falling to the DOUKI CHOKEY.

    Ryohei Oiwa Gets Knocked Out

Taichi is warming up for another run in the G1 Climax tournament, and tonight has a chance to get an easy win. Ryohei Oiwa is still learning the ropes as a Young Lion, and will need more than his usual babyface fire to claim the win here tonight.

Oiwa would start fast with some quick strikes, before a snap bodyslam for a one count. Taichi took control for some stiff kicks, punishing the chest and spine of Oiwa. Wrist control was taken before a flurry of knife edge chops, before a single leg Boston Crab saw Oiwa lunge to the ropes.

Oiwa would hit the dropkick before his signature deadlift gutwrench suplex, getting a two count. Hip toss was blocked, but a second dropkick landed. Gamiguri would land from Taichi, and this one was over just like that. One hard kick can easily win Taichi a match.

HOUSE OF TORTURE Cheat To Win

CHAOS & BULLET CLUB are very familar foes, and that includes the House of Torture Branch. They’ve been trying to claim the NEVER Openweight Championships back from EVIL, SHO & Yujiro Takahashi for months now, and tonight could earn another shot as they take on House of Torture in eight man tag team action – with a lineup of YOH, Toru Yano, Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI.

CHAOS would start fast with a brawl, everyone splitting off with a different member of House of Torture. Yano took Togo off to the back, and locked him in a dog cage, which was pulled to ringside. EVIL would lead HoT in beating down CHAOS, before freeing Dick Togo. YOSHI-HASHI would take the fist drop in the ring, before he’d trade blows with EVIL.

Goto would get the tag and drop EVIL with a Russian Leg Sweep, before he’d get shoved into the exposed corner. SHO would fire off some kicks, but was dropped with a lariat. Goto would work with YOSHI-HASHI & YOH to hit a super Drop The Needle, before clearing the ring. Kneebar would be applied, and SHO would tap out – but out of the sight to the referee. SHO would get aid from Yujiro with the cane, before hitting YOH with the wrench for the pinfall.
