Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t do themselves any favors when they stepped away from the royal family and slammed them with accusations of racism and neglect, but at least one person feels badly for them – and that is Sharon Osbourne.
Sharon sat alongside Piers Morgan and Fox News hosts Ainsley Earhardt and Martha MacCallum to cover all aspects of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. While on-air, Sharon expressed that she feels a sense of sorrow for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. “The Royal Family has always been like a Shakespearean play for me. I have to tell you when I saw them earlier on – I felt sorry for them. And the way that they were parted from the family,” she said.

Sharon also made note of the fact that Harry and Meghan were separated from the rest of the royal family and were not permitted to sit on the balcony at Buckingham Palace for Trooping the Colour. “I do feel sorry for him [Prince Harry] because I think that there must be a huge part of him that [has] regrets,” she said before explaining, “I mean, can you imagine how he felt yesterday with the whole family in that procession and he would have normally been there on one of those horses with his uniform and everything.”
The Oscourne matriarch assumed that Prince Harry must have experienced an epiphany during the Jubilee celebrations, saying that he must have thought, “My children are not going to grow up with their cousins. It’s got to have an effect on you when they don’t have any cousins, aunts, uncles.”
Osbourne and Piers Morgan then briefly chatted about how they both lost their jobs after commenting on Harry and Meghan’s now-infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey. Piers abruptly walked off during a live taping of ‘Good Morning, Britain’ after getting into a row with a colleague about how he didn’t believe Meghan Markle’s claims against the royals. In turn, Sharon then lost her spot as co-host on ‘The View’ after she defended Piers’ right to his opinion on the Duchess of Sussex.
“Sharon was on a show called ‘The Talk and when she talked, she got fired!” Piers quipped before interjecting to tell Sharon, “It’s disgusting what happened to you. I’ll take the blame but Sharon is a good friend, we go back a long way.”
Sharon’s commentary regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle comes after they were met with boos from a disapproving crowd while at St Paul’s Cathedral for a portion of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The held hands as they walked to and from the church to the sound of loud boos, while Prince William and Kate Middleton received ample fanfare and joyful cheers.
