WWE NXT 2.0 Results: Grayson Waller Defeats Solo Sikoa, JD McDonagh Is Coming, Katana Chance & Kayden Carter Claim Tag Team Win (06/21)

Solo Sikoa had claimed the next shot at the NXT North American Championship, but that was when Cameron Grimes was champion. Carmelo Hayes doesn’t care about someone calling dibs, and Grayson Waller agrees. Waller feels that Sikoa is trying to push people around due to having a famous Bloodline in professional wrestling, and would stand alongside Hayes for a recent tag team match – losing to Sikoa & Apollo Crews. Now tonight, Sikoa & Waller will meet in singles action, in a potential #1 contender match.

Solo Sikoa Looks To Shut Grayson Waller Up

Waller would try to start with a promo, only for Sikoa to rush in with a forearm blow. Sikoa would get Waller into the ring, but not before using the announce desk and ring apron as a weapon. A scoop slam would set up the running headbutt, before Waller would hit some measured jabs to the face of Sikoa.

Waller attempted to use the turnbuckle pads as weapons, but couldn’t get much effect before taking a backdrop. Sikoa would go for a Samoan Drop, but Waller would rip a turnbuckle cover free. A chop took Waller down, before he’d be run down with a shoulder tackle.

Some punches to the head would do some damage, before Sikoa had his feet stomped before Waller hit an STO. Sikoa was sent to the floor, but Waller would fail to take control. A missed chop gave Waller an opening, before some running face washes and jumping elbow drops. Some Hammer & Anvil elbows would follow, before Waller applied a sleeper hold.

Sikoa would break free, before Waller hit the leg lariat for a two count. A snap DDT would land, but only got a two count. Cravate was applied for some knee strikes, before Waller was sent from the ring and run down with a shoulder tackle. Back in the ring, Waller was kicked into the corner, and set up for the running hip attack.

Flying Splash was set, but Waller would roll to safety. Superkick would land, but Sikoa would miss a running splash into the corner. Exposed steel was hit, and Waller quickly followed up with a rolling stunner for the win.

JD McDonagh Is Coming To NXT 2.0, Women’s Tag Team Action

Katana Chance & Kayden Carter got a big chance to become NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions at In Your House, but were unable to claim the gold. Now, it’s back to the drawing board – and tonight’s match against Valentina Feroz & Yulisa Leon is a perfect chance to get things back on track as they look to build to another title shot.

Before this match began, we’d hear from the former Jordan Devlin – who is on his way to NXT 2.0 as JD McDonagh. He is going to ensure no one bets against The Irish Ace.

This match would kick off fast with Carter & Leon trading dropkicks. Feroz & Leon would work together on a Sunset Flip. Chance would get the tag, but was nearly tapped out with the Calf Crusher. Some quick kicks would level Leon, before Carter would apply an arm lock.

Feroz would get the tag after Leon broke free, and she’d nail Chance with a spear. A double team facebuster needed Carter to make the save. Superkick would land, and the combo 450 Splash & Neckbreaker would follow and that’s a big win for Carter & Chance.

Will Kayden Carter & Katana Chance earn their way back to the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
