The Creed Brothers reached the top of the NXT Tag Team mountain at In Your House, taking the NXT Tag Team Championships from Pretty Deadly. Now tonight, they make their first defence – having accepted a challenge from Edris Enofe & Malik Blade. Roderick Strong is frustrated with Diamond Mine, especially after Ivy Nile failed to take the NXT UK Women’s Championship from Meiko Satomura recently, adding extra pressure onto the champs here tonight.

The Creed Brothers Make First Successful Title Defence

Brutus would kick things off alongside Blade, and would look for the slam before getting rolled up for a two count. Blade would get his waist snatched after trying to wrestle with Brutus on the mat. He’d slip free before being launched with a shoulder tackle, before Julius got the tag. Blade jumped over the attempt at a takedown, before tagging Enofe in.

Enofe would apply the Koji Clutch, but Julius moved into a pinfall to get free briefly. Back into the Koji Clutch, but Julius would escape once again. Brutus would be suplexed onto Enofe, before slowing the pace down with a front headlock. Enofe would almost get the pinfall into a cradle, but the shoulders of Brutus would not touch the mat.

Brutus would get hit by the Northern Lights Suplex, getting a two count. Blade tagged in, but was ran right down with a lariat. Quick tags from The Creed Brothers would be followed with some knee strikes, before Blade forced Julius into the corner for a tag.

Enofe would nail a dropkick, before being sent to the floor with a Back Body Drop, hitting the apron on his way down. Blade would be sent out soon after. Enofe & Blade took a moment to gameplan, before looking to use their speed to cut the champs down. Julius however grabbed an ankle lock, and Brutus would apply a sleeper hold after the tag.

Enofe would break free for a knee strike, before some quick tag team offence set up the flying elbow drop. Julius would get the tag and nail some suplexes, but missed a tag to Blade before getting dropped with diving lariat. A crossbody caught into a slam and sliding lariat however – and The Creeds retain.

Wendy Choo Helps Fallon Henley Get A Win

During the NXT Women’s Breakout tournament, Tiffany Stratton would defeat Fallon Henley to make the finals. Now tonight, Henley gets a rematch – and a chance to prove that that was just an off night. With Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen in her corner, she’d be as confident as ever.

She’d quickly take Stratton down before hitting some brawling blows. Stratton would fall to the middle rope, but Henley would slide the floor to look for a punch – but was caught in the ring skirt. Stratton would take control before the slingshot senton and a unique submission.

Henley would kick out after a running double stomp, before Wendy Choo would come to distract and throw confetti at Stattron. Inside cradle would follow, and Henley took the win.

Should Fallon Henley get a title shot? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
