Wardlow is ready for his second chance at the TNT Championship. Last time, he was screwed over by MJF & Shawn Spears, which was the only defense of the first reign of Scorpio Sky. Tonight, Sky will face Wardlow in a street fight with the gold on the line. All of the American Top Team could help, but Wardlow said he would take them down as if they’re AEW security guards. It’s going to take every bit of skill, cunning, and experience that Sky has to leave tonight with his reign intact.
Scorpio Sky Brings An Army To Help With Wardlow
The crowd was completely behind Wardlow as this match began, but Sky had Ethan Page, Dan Lambert and more. Sky would start with some kicks to the leg, before some body shots in the corner. Wardlow would nail a shoulder tackle, and sent the champion to the mat.
Sky would nail a low blow, which is legal in the street fight -before Wardlow would toss him with a suplex. Another toss would follow, with Sky being tossed from corner to corner – and rolling out of the ring. Wardlow took a moment to breathe before going after Sky.
Lambert would slap Wardlow’s head, before a slew of American Top Team fighters showed up. Sky sent Wardlow into the steel steps, before Sky & ATT stomped Wardlow out. Back into the ring, a snapmare into a rear chinlock would start to suck the breath away from Wardlow’s lungs.
Powerbomb Symphony Sounds Like A New Champion
Wardlow would break free before taking some punches to the forehead. Sky would drive Wardlow down into the corner, and Wardlow would pop out to run down the champion with a lariat. A second would soon follow, before some shoulder thrusts in the corner.
Sky would respond with a leg kick, before dodging a spear that sent Wardlow into the ring post. Wardlow would be able to strike Sky off the top rope during a superplex attempt, before Wardlow soared off the top rope with a swanton bomb. Powerbomb was set, and ATT swarmed the ring – and were all sent aside.
Sky would use this chance to grab the belt, and nailed Wardlow across the face – getting a two count on the following pinfall. Lambert would call for the TKO, but Sky was shoved into this manager and nailed with a spinebuster. Powerbomb one would land, kicking off the Powerbomb Symphony. A second and third would follow – and we have a new TNT Champion.
