Since making his WWE return a few years back, Bobby Lashley has finally found his place in the company. He’s become a multi-time WWE Champion, and is once again WWE United States Champion. A recent face turn has made him a solid fan favorite, and his power has been something that has made him easy to love. However, there’s a match potentially coming soon that could see him overpowered for once.
Bobby Lashley Would Be Interested In Facing GUNTER At Survivor Series
While speaking with BT Sport – Bobby Lashley would get a chance to address a potential future match, against possibly the only man who can overpower him in WWE. Former WWE NXT UK Champion – and current WWE Intercontinental Champion, GUNTHER.
“I think an interesting matchup that I heard a couple of times is Gunther. I think just him being my counter on the other show. I think it’s something that is kind of intriguing. He’s a tough, tough, tough competitor. I mean, he’s been doing some big stuff and he just went right up to the top right away. So I think it’s an interesting matchup. It’s a matchup that I think that we can kind of build towards. Maybe we can do that at Survivor Series or we can do that a little later on in the year, but it’s something definitely that I’m interested in.”
Survivor Series Has Become Known For Champion vs. Champion Matches
For the past few years, champion vs. champion matches have been common at Survivor Series – giving the likes of AJ Styles vs. Brock Lesnar, Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Seth Rollins, and more huge matches. GUNTHER vs. Bobby Lashley could match those matches if booked properly and given more time.
However, with a new creative voice in Triple H running the show, we could see changes ahead of major shows in the fall – with a potential of the main roster adopting the WarGames concept from the NXT brand, where Triple H previously ran the show.
