Charles Oliviera Says Fighters Call Out Conor McGregor For The Money: “A Fight VS Conor Is Like Winning the Lottery!”

It seems like everybody in the UFC promotion wants to fight the Notorious Conor McGregor. Everybody wants some piece of the attention and money he can bring to a fight. Charles Oliveira is no different.

According to Do Bronx Oliveira, a matchup against Conor McGregor would be like winning the lottery for him. The option of matching up these two is not excluded since McGregor has been putting on some quality weight recently. Oliveira is confident in his skills and abilities in the octagon. He is positive that he can win a bout against the Irishman.

Charles Oliviera Thinks Fighters Call Out Conor McGregor Only For The Money – If It Brings Money, Great!

However, as Oliveira says, beating him is not the primal reason for wanting to fight him. Charles Oliveira talks about his family as the most important thing in his life. Providing for his family and carrying for them is the first and most important thing that he needs to do. So that’s why he hopes fighting Conor might secure his family for a long time.

Oliveira says that fighting Conor for the price is so important for him, that he might even consider going down to welterweight, Conor’s division, and fighting him there.

“Well, I don’t have a special fondness for him. This is business and if it brings money, great. He is a bit heavier so I could meet him at Welterweight if need be.” – Charles Oliveira says for ESPN.

Oliveira might indeed end up fighting the Irishman, but not right away. He is firstly booked to fight the Dagestan fighter Islam Makhachev. Makhachev is also known as Khabib Nurmagomedov’s prodigy. The fight is to happen at the UFC 280 event that will take place on October 22nd in Abu Dhabi at the Etihad Arena.

If Oliveira comes out a winner from the bout, he will hold a title, and that is what Conor McGregor is seeking.

The fight against Makhachev might be the ultimate test for the Brazilian Charles Oliveira. They have similar fighting styles, and both of them are fairly strong on their feet, as well as on the ground. Critics predict that the fight for the most part will be on the floor. However, there are some predictions that state that Oliveira might call on his striking abilities and force the fight to be on the feet as long as possible.

The reason behind this way of thinking is the fact that Makhachev has not fought some great ‘strikers’ in the promotion. And Oliveira on the other hand has beaten some great-sounding names in the MMA sport.

On the other hand, Conor McGregor, the fighter that Oliveira is eyeballing for quite some time now, will return to the octagon at the beginning of the next year. The Irishman is currently working out and training to return to the octagon as powerful as humanly possible. From the posts on social media, we can see that he had put some enormous muscle mass. And that might just qualify him for fighting in the Lightweight division.

If Charles Oliveira holds a title until then, it is highly unlikely that he will meet with McGregor immediately. The most probable scenario is that he will fight Michael Chandler first.
