To be honest, it is unclear how Elon Musk manages his time. How can he accomplish all the things that he accomplishes throughout the years? With so much on his plate, especially lately, it is a true wonder where and when he finds time to dedicate to all of his projects.
Think about the media involvement in the past period and all the controversies surrounding him. Musk somehow manages to put a lot of effort, dedication, and time into innovations for Tesla. He strives to ‘convert’ the world’s auto fleet into an electric one.
Elon Musk Strives To Make The Fastest Car In The World – The New Tesla Roadster Might Be Just It
Tesla is battling with fossil fuel vehicles on a grand scale. To win, they must offer something special to the world, for it to be willing to transition to electric cars. Now, it seems like they did it. They have a new model successor joining the Tesla family.
There is an announcement that Tesla is planning to launch the new Roadster. This is not some ordinary electric car. From Tesla, they expect it to be the fastest and the best electric car circulating the world so far. The single fact that it will do 0 to 60 in a little less than 2s, 1.9s to be more precise tells us that it will be ranked in the top fastest vehicles ever made.
Thanks to the light frame and the lithium-ion battery cells it will be able to do around 200 miles per single charge. The first Tesla Roadster launched back in 2008, achieved attracting much interest amongst car fanatics due to this exact reason.
Elon thought about making a successor to the Tesla Roadster ever since he realized the amount of interest the car draws from EV lovers. He talked about an upgraded version in 2011. However, due to a chain of events, he made the final and only official announcement in 2017. The plan was to start with an immediate plan for production, but then there was a shortage in materials so it got postponed once more.
Now, the official information from Tesla states that the Tesla Roadster will be available for buying starting from 2023. Coupled with this is the promise that it will be all that the Roadster fans want it to be. It will be the fastest car in the world.
“2021 has been the year of a super crazy supply chain shortage. So it wouldn’t matter if we had 17 new products, as none would ship. Assuming 2022 isn’t a big drama, the new Roadster should ship in 2023.” – Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk says on Twitter.
To give you a mental picture of how fast 1.9s from 0 to 60 is we will compare it to current supercars. The Roadster will be faster than a Bugatti Chiron – $4 million vehicle. Faster than an Aston Martin Valkyrie – worth $3 million, and faster and better than a Ferrari SF90 Stradale – $600k sports car.
Would you buy a Tesla Roadster taking in consideration its price would be around $200k?
