Hasim Rahman, Jake Paul’s New Opponent Predicts He Can Knock Him Out In First Round
Jake Paul and Hasim Rahman have met several times before. They were sparring partners at one point in their careers. Back when the Youtuber Jake Paul was preparing to face AnEsonGib, a fellow Youtuber, he sparred with Hasim to prepare for the match.
Hasim Rahman respects Jake Paul and speaks highly of his skills. He says that Jake Paul has ‘legitimate’ skills in the ring. Now, let’s see whether he will continue to praise them as he is about to face Jake as an opponent.
Back in 2020, in the interview where he praises Jake’s skills, he says that if he is ever to meet him in the ring it will be a total war. He doesn’t plan on showing any mercy for him. Since then, Hasim has won 4 more matches and Paul won 3.
When asked if he would like to be a part of a fight with any of the Paul brothers Hasim accepts the idea. He says he would be delighted to be involved in a YouTube fight. Now, after two years seems like his wish may come true. With Tommy Fury’s backing off, he might step in and measure forces with the more powerful of the two Paul brothers.
“I would feel like I’d be representing boxing at that point.” – Rahman says. “I would try my best not to let them out of the first minute, if they want entertainment that’s fine. Would put my money on the fight ending in the first round, I wouldn’t say the first minute. I would feel kind of embarrassed if I let him out of the first round, I have to hold it down for boxing at that point. I’d be saying ‘ref, he doesn’t belong in here with me, so get him out of there’. That’s the type of mentality I’d be coming in with.”
Hasim still respects Jake Paul. He even predicted that the YouTuber will win the fight against Tommy Fury in the first round. But he is convinced that Jake is no match for him. He believes that if he doesn’t stop him in the first round, it will be a shame for him.
