Don’t rush to a conclusion. Jake Paul offers to fight Nate Diaz for his ‘retirement’ fight and moreover to not take money for it. But, there is a catch. He will do this under some conditions. We are all aware that Jake ‘fights’ for fighter’s rights, so it is no wonder his conditions are higher fighter pay and healthcare for each fighter.
Nate Diaz is in the promotion since forever and is seeking to be released from it for quite some time now. His deeds are quite unclear since although he wants to be out as soon as possible, he doesn’t accept any of the proposed fights from the UFC.
Nate’s latest request to be released from the promotion came just days ago when he posted a tweet asking the UFC directly to match him up with whoever, just so he can be finished with it.
“UFC release now please, or give me a fight with anyone in July or August. I have bigger sh*t to do.” – Diaz says.
Jake Paul is fast to respond to this. In the recent period, he uses each opportunity he can get to mock and challenge the UFC president Dana White. At one point he even released a diss song to him.
“Dana – I’m happy to be Nate’s last fight in UFC. You know the terms: pay fighters more and give them healthcare. Sweetener: I will fight for free.” – Jake Paul slams.
Dana White openly doesn’t like Nate Diaz anymore. This is a result of Nate’s constant call-outs to him. Also, the constant humiliating situations in which Diaz has been found with the UFC in the last period. Situations like taking a p*ss in front of the UFC headquarters, etc.
In a recent interview, Dana White refers to both Diaz and Paul and says that maybe it is time for Diaz to fight Paul, but in a boxing match. He says this in a joking and humiliating manner – referring to them as amateurs.
Jake Paul agrees to fight Nate Diaz, but in MMA, not in boxing. For his boxing career, he has greater aspirations. In the UFC chances are slim to none that Dana might even consider such a fight. White may be everything, but he is a professional before all. He doesn’t look to transform the best MMA promotion into a circus.
While this is ongoing and lasts for some time now, Paul is actively seeking an opponent for his boxing career. And there is some big name mentioning. The biggest of them all is the ex-heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson. There are rumors that Jake might bring the 55-year-old back in the ring for one final fight. Furthermore, we are to expect this by the end of the year.
