Jake Paul, the YouTuber, now boxer, speaks out and accuses the hall of famer Floyd Mayweather of not having money. He says this in relation to his brother Logan’s fight with Mayweather. Jake Paul claims that the boxer has not paid Logan in full and is currently refusing to do so, due to the fact that he simply does not have the money to do the transaction.
The fight held place back in June, and the duo fought for straight 8 rounds. The Youtuber, Logan, shows exceptional skills and durability for someone who is ‘new’ to the sport and lasts all rounds. There are some highlights of the fight where it could be seen that Floyd Mayweather purposely doesn’t knock out the Youtuber. Despite having the chance to do so very easily. However, the match is a good watch.
Jake Paul Claims That Floyd Mayweather Is Broke
Floyd Mayweather makes somewhere around $65 million for the bout. including pay-per-view share, plus the sponsor’s money. He takes 50% of the pay-per-view money, totaling somewhere around $25 million, he receives a $10 million flat fee, plus $30 million from the sponsors on his shorts.
Logan Paul on the other hand has only 10% of the pay-per-view sales and a flat fee of $250 000. Additional to this, he got $10 million from sponsors. All in all, his earnings from the bout are somewhere around $15 million.
The entrepreneur Rob Moore backs up the brothers by posting an Instagram video, a part of an interview where Jake sends some critics to the boxer.
“Floyd is broke, man. I’ve been saying it the whole entire time. I think he probably spent it on all the girls he pays to be around him.” – Jake Paul says.
However, this does not go unanswered from the boxing legend Mayweather. He addresses publicly to the accusation and denies it totally. He has an invitation to the Pivot Podcast, where he uses the chance to address the claims.
“This comes with the territory to them, that’s real money, and I like the YouTubers. The money on the back end though, from pay-per-view, that takes a while. Nothing comes right away. I’m still collecting cheques from fights seven or eight years ago.” – Floyd Mayweather says.
“They just hate when the table is turned. Be happy with the biggest payday you ever got in your life.” – Mayweather slams the YouTuber.
The bout took place exactly one year ago, but Paul still claims that the money has not reached his account yet. So while Mayweather is not denying that the funds are not transferred to his opponent’s bank account yet, he assures him that it will be transferred once it is available.
What do you think? Does he hold up on the pay purposely?
