A fan has been blasted after speculation that Kate Middleton had been drunk during the 2022 men’s Wimbledon final.

The Duchess of Cambridge happened to be in attendance with her husband Prince William and their son Prince George. During the course of the final between Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic, a four-set thriller played out with many twists and turns.
And it was not just the action on the court that kept everyone busy. At one moment, Nick was outraged by what he perceived to be a disorderly person in the crowd.
In fact, he even went as far as to suggest that this person had drunk too much and needed to be thrown out.
In the clip here, we can see an outraged Nick saying the following: “She’s drunk out of her mind in the first row, talking to me in the middle of the game.
“The one with the dress. The one who looks like she’s had about 700 drinks, bro.” Speculation started to emerge that Kyrgios was referring to Middleton for the following reasons.
First of all, he refused to name Middleton outright. Therefore, there was a feeling that Kyrgios knew he would have generated controversy had he named her.
Secondly, Kate is known for enjoying a drink or two. She was recently blasted over bringing down the image of the Royal family, while drinking some beer during the course of her Cambridge visit.
The following image shows that the Duchess does love a drink. Lastly, in any event, Nick finished by breaking the Wimbledon rules when he was meeting the Duchess for a handshake post match.
He walked out onto the court in his red cap in defiance of the white-dress code at Wimbledon, which some felt was a sign of disrespect towards her.
And this sentiment was exhibited on social media. A certain subset of people slammed the fan’s lack of respect, while others questioned whether the behaviour was fitting.
One person wrote: “She was drunk as a skunk. Why couldn’t SHE pull it together?” while another person stated: “He’s right! She didn’t follow the rules/proceedings.”
However, it later transpired that it was another fan. It turned out that the Duchess of Cambridge was not drunk, but it was in fact Anita Palus which brought an end to the initial claims.
