It’s Monday which means it’s time to look at some MOVES OF DOOM. This time we’re looking at Yoshihiro Tajiri.
Tree of Woe Dropkick
Starting off the big standbys for the Japanese Buzzsaw, his running dropkick into an opponent who is trapped in the Tree of Woe is a mildly effective signature attack. It’s fairly simple but Tajiri requires that opportunity when the opponent messes up while on the top turnbuckle for it to be useful.
He also needs an opponent who can’t pull himself up and avoid the dropkick.

Brainbuster
Also called the Buzzsaw Brainbuster, this is my favorite finisher of the Buzzsaw next to his Diving Double Stomp. It’s just a regular-ass brainbuster but it used to look so smooth and devastating when he used it as a finisher before his Buzzsaw Kick became the go-to.

The Tarantula
I really hate describing the Tarantula. It’s a rope-assisted, arm-trap Boston Crab. It’s more for visual and to wear down the opponent. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve seen anyone tap out to the Tarantula since they’re in the ropes and the referee is going through the five count.
However, if someone is foolish enough to get that close to the ropes for Tajiri to trap them in this move, that’s just points against them.

Poison Mist
The Poison Mist was always cool because while it rarely finished a match on its own, it was an excellent setup for his finisher. I mean, the opponent is blind by this green liquid that this crafty martial artist spewed. Getting kicked by a short guy with leg reach multiple times while blinded is such a crappy situation to be stuck in.
At least for the Japanese Buzzsaw’s opponents.

Buzzsaw Kick
Once Tajiri found out that a kick to the head of an opponent he’d chopped down to size was enough to win, he never stopped. This move puts brains to sleep and it’s probably one of the simplest finishers out there. Just kick the dude in the head a few times, measure them up, and KO them. That’s it.
